TWO BOATS ON THE SHORE, THIS IS THE CAPTURING ARCHITECTURE OF OUR TOURIST AND COMMERCIAL COMPLEX

Puerta Plaza literally means a harbor with a square, but the locals already call it “los barcos”; “the boats”. The construction is earth-quake resistent, the doorways, columns and beams are made with reinforced concrete. The dividing walls are made out of expanded polystyrene pannels with metal wiring (type M2). This is an attractive material that is not only earthquake resistent, but also an excellent insulator against heat and noise. The doors and windows can be tightly closed with special strips and double glass.

Puerto Plaza is in the heart of Las Terrenas, attrackting locals and visitors alike, because of its close proximity to the Fishermans Village (Pueblo de los Pescadores), filled with restaurants and bars right on the water front.
